Hi everyone! I’m Steve and I’ve been part of Redfest since 2012. I lived in St George for many years spending a lot of my childhood and teenage years in St George’s Park. I’m responsible for programming our Solar Stage and I can now reveal that our opening act this year is Jad Reza! He’s an acoustic rock artist who’s been making a name for himself at open-mic nights around Bristol. A great start to an outstanding line-up!
When I’m not programming the Solar Stage I run a company called Jelli Records, founded in 2008. We’re an artist management and music consultancy business specializing in acoustic, folk and jazz artists. You might know me from one of our radio shows, or from our work programming festival stages across the South West. We also fund-raise for Guide Dogs for the Blind, as a result of which there’s now an adorable new guide dog in training called Jelli!
We’ll be running a Jelli Records fundraiser for Redfest on the 26th April at The Lion, starting at 8pm and running through until close. Our line-up for the evening opens with JanE.B, an indie-pop singer-songwriter new to Bristol. She’s an up and coming artist, definitely one to watch! Next up is David 9 Lunas, a great guitarist and singer-songwriter you might have seen at Redfest a couple of years ago. Headlining the evening are Reverend Bob & the Devil-May-Cares, well known on the open-mic circuit in Bristol for their fun take on folk music.
This is an evening that promises to have something for everyone! As always, entry will be free, but look out for our bucket collectors on the evening if you’d like to make a donation to Redfest.
We’ve got other events in the pipeline, so if you’d like to get involved or have a chat, please get in touch with me here.
