Redfest Community Broadcast 2020
This event took place on Saturday 1st August 2020.
Although this year has been tough, and we can’t spend the day in the park together, we hope you enjoyed our Redfest Community Broadcast!
For this year, we partnered with our lovely friends at BCfm Radio to bring you a full 14 hours of live, uninterrupted content from 10am through ‘til 12am – all free and with no need to register.
Check out the Redfest Community Broadcast lineup here.
For the ultimate Redfest, we brought you the best DJ’s and live music from the BS5 area, community talks, dance workshops, stand-up comedy, slam poetry, health and well-being and much much more. We had loads of stuff to keep the kids entertained too, ‘Ask a Physicist’, learn to skateboard, performing arts and martial arts all pieced together by our very own comperes.
This year we’re taking our fundraising digital and raising money for others who need it more: Nilaari, The Beehive Centre and The Plough’s Community Care Package. All funds raised will be split equally between these wonderful community organisations, so please make a donation if you can! You can find more details about their work below, and a link to our LocalGiving page to donate and support their work.
The fantastic Espensen Spirit have also put together a selection of Redfest drinks packages available for collection or delivery – including cider, beer, non-alcoholic drinks and of course, their famous cocktails. With £2 from every order going to our chosen community organisations, what’s not to love?
If you have some favourite memories of Redfest, we’d love to know about them, so please share photos, stories, videos and more on our pages using #Redfest20.
We’d really like to hear your feedback on how the broadcast went and your suggestions for Redfest 2021, so please fill out our feedback form when we share it, we’ll be using it to make sure that next year is the best yet!

Redfest and Covid-19
We hope you loved Redfest’s digital home this year. In light of the current situation, including the lockdown and uncertainty around site licences for August, we won’t be holding Redfest in the park in 2020.
We’ve been closely following all government and city council advice, and arranging a large public gathering this summer is not possible for a multitude of reasons. The safety of everyone, from suppliers to audience members, has to come first.
Thanks so much for your continued support. Sending love and support to you all,
The Redfest Team
