Help us get Redfest back in the park for 2018!
We know from your feedback after Redfest 2017 that a lot of people want to see the event back in St George Park this summer. The Redfest team loves putting on the festival in the park as well! But to be able to do this we need to raise enough money to cover the cost!
Running an event the size of Redfest is expensive, and the costs have only increased since the last park event in 2016. To keep the festival free for everyone in the community, we need to raise £10,000. This will be enough, alongside other sources like grants, sponsorship and fees from stall holders, for us to be able to bring Redfest back to St George Park. And there are loads of ways you can help us raise the money:
Make a donation
The most direct way to make a difference! You can donate online through our Local Giving appeal page. Or if you don’t want to donate online, then you can put your change into the Redfest collecting tins which can be found in several shops and pubs along Church Road. If everyone who came to the festival gave a few quid, we could cover the cost of the whole thing!
Come to a fundraising event
We put on a broad range of fundraising events throughout the year including quizzes, gigs and club nights. Keep an eye out for events which we’ll post about on here, or you can follow our Facebook page
Vote for Redfest when you shop at Tesco
We’re currently a part of the Bags of Help scheme at Tesco. Throughout May and June you’ll be able to vote for Redfest any time you shop at an East Bristol Tesco. The winning cause gets £4,000 so this is a great way to help us raise funds without any additional cost to yourself! We’ve written a more detailed post about this one here.
Redfest is a free community festival run entirely by volunteers, so you know that any donation you make is going towards putting on the best festival possible for the people of East Bristol – and every pound donated is a step closer to a lovely day in St George Park!
