Three Kings High confirmed for Old Stillage after party

The front of the Old Stillage pub in Church Road, Bristol

So here’s some news we’re very excited about – Three Kings High will be playing at one of Redfest’s after parties, at the Old Stillage pub in Church Road. The party starts at 8pm in the newly extended (and newly green-walled!) pub which is a devoted friend and sponsor of Redfest every year. Oh, and there’s another band too and a DJ to finish off the night (sorry, no more details on that right now – you’ll have to buy a programme to find out more…)

Three Kings High are an amalgamation of Bristol’s diverse influences with big riff heavy guitars, anthemic choruses and indie sensibilities. They’ve been gigging all over the country for a few years now, from punk nights in London to soul venues in Newcastle, and have been championed by BBC Bristol as ones to watch. So, why not come and watch them? The party doesn’t have to stop when the main stage closes!

(And you’ll no doubt find a few tired but happy members of the Redfest crew down the front of the dancefloor, letting our hair down after a long day’s work!)

To get a taster of the Kings’ music check out their website or have a gander at this video…

Line-up for the Grounded Garden Stage

A young blonde woman stands in front of a blackboard that reads: Grounded summer music: 7.30 Wednesday 8th July Glow Globes gypsy jazz folk Redfest fundraiser; REDFEST 2015 GARDEN STAGE Saturday August 1st Lady Nade, Chris Webb, BiffBangPow, The British European Jazz Ensemble: BBQ IN ST GEORGE PARK:

When we saw Cafe Grounded (one of our headline sponsors) post this photo on their Facebook page we couldn’t resist sharing it! Barista Ashley’s groovy graphics have got us really excited about the line up on the Grounded Garden Stage. It’s is a lovely place to enjoy some intimate gigs if you prefer to get away from the crowds in the main festival, and with the added bonus of delicious food and drinks and cake… as every local knows, Grounded’s cake selection is one of the best in Bristol!

PS If you want to know more about the gig at the top of this list, click here to find out more about the Glow Globes fundraiser.

What to expect at Redfest 2015

This year is going to be the best Redfest ever!

We’ll have a great mix of music, cabaret, food, drink, arts, craft and kids’ fun, plus the Redfest Fringe will once again be taking over local pubs in festival week with an eclectic mix of entertainment that – judging by previous years – could include anything from magic to movies as well as music!

Programmes will be available in local shops soon so that you can plan your festival in advance, and we’ll announce everything on this website as soon as we can so watch this space.

In the meantime, we’re planning some warm-up events to whet your appetite and raise some much-needed funding for the festival. Keep a look out on the website, Twitter and Facebook for info, or sign up to the mailing list at the bottom of the page.

See you in the park!
