How to get to Redfest

Where’s the party at?

This year Redfest will be taking place in venues along Church Road in Bristol, BS5. You can find out more about what’s happening during our Church Road takeover in the Redfest 2017 guide.

Here’s a map to help you find us:

Getting here on wheels

On festival day, car parking is almost non-existent so unless you really have no other option we recommend leaving the car at home (and we are keen on being green). Also please note that George and Dragon Lane will be closed 12:00-17:00 Sunday 6 August.

But there are loads of spaces to lock up your bike. We’re putting up fencing you can lock your bike to on Church Road next to Pat’s News and Booze, and in St George Park next to the car park. There’s a bike shop right across the road from the park in case you need spares or repairs.

Getting here on public transport

Bus numbers 32, 42, 43, 44, 45 go along Church Road past the south side of the park: tell the driver you’re going to Church Road near St George Park.

  • If you’re on the bus going uphill, get off at Blackswarth Road stop (next to Southville Deli) and you’ll be in the middle of the festival.
  • If you’re on the bus coming downhill, get off at Seneca Street stop (next to Events & Venues) and stroll down the hill further to explore festival venues along Church Road.

Bus numbers 6 and 7 go along Whitehall Road the other side of the park: tell the driver you’re going to St George Park. Get off at Gordon Road or Embassy Road stops and walk to the park via any of the following roads: Congleton, Altringham, Bowden or Chester.

The nearest train station is Lawrence Hill. Come out of the station by any exit and turn left onto Church Road. From there you can catch a bus from the same side of the road that you are standing on. Or if you’re feeling energetic it’s about 15 minutes’ walk to all the activity on Church Road near St George Park – we suggest you stop to refuel on the way with a drink at the Old Stillage pub or Grounded cafe bar, two of our lovely sponsors!
