Volunteer for Redfest 2018

Join our friendly team of volunteers and help us put on Redfest 2018! Redfest is a completely free community festival run entirely by volunteers like you. We’ll need help stewarding, setting up, keeping people safe and many more jobs. You don’t need any previous experience – just use the form below to apply.

Redfestive! Festive fundraiser party you won’t want to miss

Definitely not just another Christmas party – it’s Redfestive! Join us 16 December at the Red Lion in your bad Christmas gear for great bands and good times. Donations are welcome (they’ll go to next year’s Redfest), but aren’t mandatory.

Here’s who’ll be lighting up the festive stage:

THE TREMOR TONES
Ska, UK Soul and Rocksteady from Easton to get you swinging and jumping.

HUSKY TONES
Punk Blues duo. Raw and unique sound to get the blood pumping and the reindeers bumping.

DJ Agent K
Old Easton-ian and party starter K joins us on the decks playing afrobeat, middle eastern psyche and other rhythm bombs.

REDFEST DJs
Our very own Redfest volunteers put in a shift behind the decks playing disco, party tunes ….and little bit of Jungle.

Redfest is recruiting

Planning for Redfest 2018 is already under way, and we’re looking to boost our amazing team with some fresh and enthusiastic new faces. The festival will take place on 4 August, but the detailed planning phase (and the hard work) will kick off in January.

We have a number of volunteer positions open right now:

  • Food Market Manager
  • Cabaret Manager
  • Wellbeing Area Manager
  • Build / Break Manager
  • Fundraising Events Team
  • Social Media / Website Manager

Applications for general stewarding and helpers on the day will open in early January.

Whether you have loads of expertise and want to give something back, or you’re looking to gain experience to boost your CV, or you just might want to give your time to a good cause, volunteering for Redfest gives you the opportunity to make a real difference, have some fun and meet lots of new friends, not to mention the warm fuzzy feeling and buzz of being part of something amazing.

If you or anyone else you know might like to join the Redfest team, please email dom@redfestbristol.co.uk and we’ll send you job specs for the roles you’re interested in.

We would like your feedback

Redfest is a free community festival that aims to to provide arts and entertainment to the people of Redfield and nearby BS5 areas. We welcome all feedback on the festival and would love to know what you thought was good and what could be improved for future years!

If you’d like to offer your feedback please complete the form below, which should take about 5 minutes. Before you complete the form we would like to say that we know a lot of people would prefer to have the event in St George’s park as it was for the last few years. We completely understand that feeling but there were a number of reasons we were unable to do a big park event this year which we have explained in this blog post. Please feel free to tell us you’d like the event in the park again, but we’d also welcome suggestions about how we could improve the format that ran this year if we were to do it again, or other suggestions of how you could see Redfest being put on in the future.

Thank you.
